BUFFALO AUDUBON IS FOR SCOUTS The Buffalo Audubon Society offers a variety of programs for scouts. We educate thousands of girl scouts, cub scouts and boy scouts each year about the natural world. If you are a scout leader, please contact us at (800) 377-1520 or email Jackie or Paul for information about how we can work with your scouts. Girl Scouts We offer a variety of girl scout programs for all levels. We can help your troops earn any of the nature related badges or tri-its. We can do these at Beaver Meadow Audubon Center or at your location. We offer a FLEXIBLE PROGRAM SCHEDULE, which means that we can work around your troops schedule. With a minimum charge we will schedule a badge or tri-it program when you want it. We also offer regularly scheduled programs for girlscouts. Check our online calendar for dates and times. Our girl scout programs include,
but are not limited to the following: Buffalo Audubon preserves and nature center are great places to earn your Bronze, Silver or Gold Awards. We have a variety of service projects that we will work with you on to earn any of these awards. Help your ranks by helping nature. Cub Scouts
Boy Scouts Beaver Meadow and Buffalo Audubon have been very active with the boy scouts on many levels. We offer Merit Badge Workshops throughout the year where a boy scout can earn one of the nature related merit badges in a day long workshop. For more information on upcoming Merit Badge Workshops, CLICK HERE. To sign up for any of our merit badge workshops call us at (800) 377-1520. We also help scouts earn their Eagle Scout rank by offering Eagle Scout projects. Some of the past projects have included bluebird trails, flying squirrel trails, wood duck box network, trail construction, and a raptor feeding station. We have many more projects in mind. If you are looking for a challenging yet worthwhile project for your Eagle Scout level, please contact Paul at (800) 377-1520 or by email at fehringer@buffaloaudubon.org. Overnighters at Beaver Meadow Our overnight program lets groups of up to 25 participants experience both the day and night aspects of Beaver Meadow. A naturalist will spend the evening leading your group on nature hikes, playing nature games, showing you our live reptiles and amphibians, and much more. The cost is $12 per scout (minimum fee applies). Scout badges or patches can be worked on duriing the overnight session. Service Projects
